et mort à Paris en 1960.

Remarqué par le peintre provençal Paul Saïn

puis élève de Paul Grivolas,

une autre figure artistique du Contat Venaissin

et de Fernand Cormon aux Beaux-Arts de Paris,

incontournable du monde de l'illustration de presse,

ses aquarelles accompagnent les articles du journal L'Illustration,
la revue de luxe de l'époque.

En 1931 il relate auprès du commandant Charcot

 l'expédition polaire du "Pourquoi Pas"

Sensible portraitiste d'intérieurs, il peindra souvent

les maisons et les jardins  provencaux 

autour du Château de Pontmartin,

sa résidence  de Villeneuve Les Avignon.

Renowned watercolorist who was born in Avignon in 1879 and died in 1960. His talent was first noticed by the Provençal painter Paul Saïn, later he became the student of Paul Grivolas, another artistic figure of the Contat Venaissin, and also by Fernand Cormon of the Paris School of Fine Arts. He was an essential element of press illustration, his watercolors accompanied the articles of « Illustration », the magazine in vogue at that period. In 1931 he related the polar expedition of Commander Charcot, the « Pourquoi pas ». In his interiors of Provençal homes and gardens he showed his intimate side.
